Results
Players competing against each other showed stronger emotional responses than when playing together against the computer, suggesting higher emotional engagement.
We plan to submit an article on this study for publication.
Task
This was the final project for the USI course Observation Studies. We wanted to see if games are more emotionally engaging in versus or cooperative mode.
My Role
We did a WS/BS experiment, having our participants play Wii Tennis in two conditions, versus and cooperative. I participated in designing and carrying out our laboratory experiment. Designed the questionnaire for the second phase, statistically analyzed the results, and presented these results to our class.
